Welcome to Sheelin Shepherds Hut. A cosy bespoke cabin situated on our family farm, overlooking Lough Sheelin and approximately 1 hour from Dublin airport. We are located a 10minute walk from the shores and nearby to Crover Hotel and Golf Course.
The hut has its own private hot tub. Strictly no fake tan makeup or smoking in the tub. Hot tub available April to Nov.
We aim to provide a perfect escape, it is equipped with a kitchenette, Wifi, Netflix and underfloor heating.
The space
The driveway is shared due to safe access to the road, but there is a private walkway entrance. The cabin itself is located at the back of an old horse stable. It is handcrafted and finished to the highest standard I have been able to accomplish.
Suited to 1 or 2 people with one double bed, it has a bathroom with a full-size shower, toilet and wash hand basin. The water is heated on demand.
The kitchen space has a small Gas hob, microwave and fridge. It is suited for a light breakfast. There is a toaster and kettle, pots pans, spray oil and tea and coffee. Unfortunately, we have to advise against large frying, this is due to the size of the hut. We are not equipped with an extractor fan.
Underfloor heating makes it a cosy place for nights in. The perfect place to read a book, and watch the sunset. There is also chess and draughs set and I also installed Wifi and the tv has Netflix making it the ultimate place to chill.
