“Dent is a very lovely village and there are plenty of walks from there in the beautiful surroundings. It’s a comfy modernised cottage that had everything needed for a week’s stay.”

“Staff went the extra mile to accomodate our unorthodox arrival time. Room was small (we had been well warned!) but had everything we needed. Fresh milk provided with morning coffee - a really nice toich!”

“Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business. Food options were limited when we arrived, particularly for our two fussy children, so we did eat elsewhere that night, but the cooked breakfast in the morning was very good,……

“What a find! The property is a wonderful place to stay, very comfortable, rural, yet only 5 minutes from Kendal. On a few occasions, woke up to peacocks and goats at the bedroom patio doors.Katie was very friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. Very responsive to messages or queries.My wife and I are already talking about coming back to stay again.”

“Very pretty and had all we needed for self catering. Maybe a baking sheet, smaller saucepan and a baking dish would have been useful - not a big deal!Lovely to be next to the beck, loads of birds to watch and interesting places to visit.Drive from The Tan Inn to Hawes not for the faint hearted, narrow and very steep.Noticed a funny mark in the oven which I couldn't clean so emailed the office and someone came the next day to clean it - excellent.
