“The outside of the hotel is unimpressive, but the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The ocean side ones have balconies with lovely Adriatic Sea views. The hotel faces the beach which is about a block away. It provides unattached beach chairs and umbrellas for the day for 20 euros, but no beach towels. The beach area has easy access to the water by steps or a ladder. There are two convenient shaded cafes, a gelato stand and a nice play area for children. ”

“The staff were super friendly and attentive. The receptionist spotted that it was my birthday from my passport and sent a welcome gift to the room. “Very nice stay at the DoubleTree Hilton Trieste. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and no noises from outside or neighbors. I did not have their breakfast as there are many cafés and restaurants near by to try. Location is excellent for walking around and sightseeing. The only negative remark would be the parking and valet service. The secure lot is a couple of blocks from hotel and it took up to an hour to get the car from valet, even though we asked for it for a specific time the night……
