“Fantastic stay in family chalet. Lovely sunset and sunrise. So very quiet onsite. Nice pool to cool off in afternoon sun. Great beer from brewery. Didn’t know what to expect but it easily surpassed our expectations. ”

“A very well appointed lodge, upmarket rooms or large ensuite tents. In keeping with our safari theme we choose the tent. Large, 4 single beds, why 4 I don't know, very clean, large ensuite shower bathroom area at the rear. Similarly large kitchen area/veranda/dining area with river view. All perfectly clean and equipped to self cater all meals. The main reception, bar and restaurant is multi level with expansive views. We ate evening meals rather than cook and the buffet choice was varied and……

“I got wet in the tent, it was repaired the next day. The food was very tasty,game drives not so sucsessfull .”

“Wir waren rundum zufrieden, toller individueller sehr freundlicher Service. (Unser Auto wurde sogar gewaschen und das war nach 2,5 Wochen campen sehr, sehr dreckig) Wir waren leider nur eine Nacht vor Ort und wären gerne länger geblieben um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Herausragend aber ist die Küche. Ein wunderbares 3 Gänge Menü für alle Gäste gemeinsam am langen Tisch serviert. Da kommt man gut ins Gespräch, Tee und Kaffee wird danach am Feuer serviert. Wir kommen wieder! ”

“Die Berglandschaft ist sehr schön. Die Zelte überhitzen sich in der Sonne sehr stark. Die Terassenüberdachung ist sehr kurz. Man findet keinen Schatten. Ein Kühlschrank oder eine Minibar ist nicht vorhanden. Die Außenplätze des Restaurants haben ebenfalls keinen Schatten. Die Möglichkeiten der Aktivitäten beschränken sich auf einen Sunrise Drive oder einen Sundowner. Der vorhandene Pool ist sehr stark gechlort. Ein mehrtägiger Aufenthalt empfiehlt sich nicht.”

“The worst thing was that Wotif sold me accommodation that did not exist. For a group of ten, that was a problem. The staff were very helpful in sorting something else. Wotif was a near disaster. Property has moved and is under construction. Taking tht into account, it was excellent. We had dinner. We had two people who were gluten free and told them. Part of dinner was not gluten free, but they did then prepare something appropriate.”

“Etendeka offered a very different experience and one which we thoroughly enjoyed. It would not suit everyone though. The drive from the pick up point is over an hour but provided opportunities for wildlife spotting. Our tent was comfortable and as expected. All meals were eaten at one long table and the food was good and in home cooked style. The trips out, the morning walk and afternoon drive were excellent. When we returned to our car the next day to find a flat tyre due to puncture and flat……
