All in all, I would stay here again. I loved the size of it. The rooms were nice enough. The bed was fantastic. But man! the room was loud! Mostly due to the ancient wall AC unit but in general as well. The promenade across the parking lot had a decent Italian restaurant, some great boutique shops and a wonderful little market if you wanted to pick up wine or cheese or baguette or some other delicious Italian things.
For the most part, the staff was great. That said, I found one front desk girl very rigid and purposely unfriendly to me. It was Monday May 5th. And I asked for a late check out since I had a 5 o’clock flight out of Fort Myers. If it had been peak season or even just a Friday when other people were coming in for the weekend, I probably wouldn’t even have asked to push the limit to 1 PM as opposed to the 12 PM, she was super reluctant to offer me. She was so happy to say NO we’ll have to charge you a whole other day if you aren’t out by 12. That extra hour would’ve meant the world to me, and I would almost bet my life that there wasn’t a hoard of people jockeying to get into my room. I understand rules and I’m actually happy to abide by them, but this seemed like an opportunity to bend them with no harm or foul for just one hour. It would’ve made all the difference to the end of my stay.
