Beautiful hotel, brand new, but I’m afraid the service was not ideal. The front desk was understaffed when we arrived which created a long wait to check in, and the phone ringing off the wall while the one poor worker was trying to help the people in front of her. Then, the workers in the morning didn’t even know what time breakfast was to start. We were told it began at 6:30 am and that is what the signage indicated as well. Because we needed to get in the road, we arrived promptly at 6:30, and several other guests were waiting as well. When I finally asked when breakfast would be served the front desk woman rudely told me that they were cooking it and it would be open when it was ready. Then while getting coffee, the cook/server man (who was very nice, by the way) came out to get himself some coffee. We had a nice conversation, and I politely asked when they would be serving. He told me that breakfast starts at 7:00 am. I told him that we were told 6:30 and that the sign also indicated 6:30. He looked shocked, looked at the sign to confirm and promptly went back into the kitchen area. We could not wait, so left and got breakfast elsewhere.
I don’t fault the staff, other than the rude lady at the front desk in the morning. That said, communication and processes definitely need improvement.
