The security staff and door porter were friendly, and housekeeping staff like Nicola and Tia were kind and helpful.
Check-in was disappointing. Though we booked Margaritaville, we were directed next door with little explanation. The check-in table felt unprofessional, and staff seemed bothered by questions. I believed our booking was all-inclusive, but when I asked Aamal, I was brushed off. I later found out—after signing bills and receiving mixed messages from staff—that Expedia bookings no longer include all-inclusive. This was never disclosed, and no effort was made to resolve the issue.
Amenities were not as advertised. The “mini golf” was just a neglected grass patch with 3 holes and old putters. My son also accidentally tightened his wristband so much we had to cut it, but staff refused to replace it, even though it posed a safety concern.
The beach was crowded with non-guests, making it hard to enjoy, and we were charged a surprise $75/day amenities fee at checkout. Worst of all, 3–5 cruise ships docked daily between 6–6:30 a.m., followed by loud public announcements that disrupted any chance of a peaceful morning.
This experience was far below expectations and lacked transparency and hospitality.
