“Great hotel, amazing staff and good breakfast. One note: if you are coming from Americas or Europe you need to have adaptors. No usb outlets in the rooms ”

“We had a lovely suite with roof terrace and fantastic sea view . Huge beds, AC great bathroom . Staff were all lovely and you didn’t feel any sort of resentment from anyone which can be the case sometimes. Breakfast was great everyday and their limited dinner option was something that we tried a few times because the chefs really were very good at their jobs . The building is a lovely old hotel but needs a little bit of attention as it is starting to get a little bit scruffy . That being said……

“Nous avons eu un accueil chaleureux et un séjour fort agréable à la résidence Padma. Pierrot et Cantin sont des hôtes for agréables. Et que dire de notre cher Olivier qui nous a accueilli avec son grand sourire au petit déjeuner et ses omelettes au fromage ainsi que le yogourt fait maison. Nous avons mentionné un matin que nous aimerions bien avoir des bananes et tous les matins suivant, il y avait des bananes au menu. Ils ont étés très accommodants lorsque nous avons dû allonger notre séjour……

En demi pension, la bouteille d’eau est payante malgré repas compris dans le forfait. Des navettes vers les grand ville sont proposées sur certains jours gratuit vers Port-Louis ou Grand baie avec un horaire de départ et de retour!”

“I have mixed feelings about our stay at 20 Degrés Sud. Firstly, I must say that it is a beautiful hotel with some lovely views over the bay. It is, however, overpriced in my opinion, compared with other places we stayed at in Mauritius. Generally speaking, the service is good, apart from a couple of waiters who managed to spoil our dining experience. We had to wait quite some time to get served, the food is delicious though so worth waiting for, but then the bill was not right and we just……
