My wife and I had a fantastic time in Nauvoo and the stay at the Inn was exceptional! It was right in the heart of where we wanted to be and the historic nature of house was just a wonderful way to immerse ourselves in the history of the city. The staff was great and the room was just outstanding! The little touches like having little chocolates out in many plates around the house was just a nice little bonus. Would definitely recommend to anyone else and if we make it back to Nauvoo I know where I am going to stay!

The location to everything in Nauvoo was outstanding. The staff was so very friendly and accommodating. The history of the building spans the ages of time. I want to come back and rent the whole place for a family reunion in the future.

Anniversary getaway 2025

Very comfortable accommodations. The Willard room was very cool(temperature) had to turn up thermostat and took a few hours to warm it up. Very nice room and a great experience. The history of the home is awesome. Breakfasts were great and refreshing.

I missed opportunity

We booked a room but when we got there no one was there to check us in. I called a number and it was a service that told us how to “self check in” and they would have the inn keeper contact us. We went to our room and the light switch didn’t work and there were dead insects in the window and the bed was very hard. We didn’t bring our things in but instead went for dinner and came back a couple of hours later no one was in the inn at all. The place was empty. No one had called us. So we decided we would not stay. The exterior of the inn looked unkept with many weeds and some trash. The inside looked looked much better other than what we saw in our room.

We spent three nights at the Willard Rchards Inn this week. We had a wonderful experience! This inn is a part of historic Nauvoo. We loved our room and the detached bathroom. ( It added to the ambiance.) The breakfasts were amazing every morning. The innkeeper did a wonderful job and shared with us the special history of the home. She did lots of little things for us to make our stay even better.

We loved our stay at the Willard Richards Inn. This was the perfect place to stay because so much was walkable in Old Nauvoo. Not only was the Inn historic the breakfasts were wonderful as was the innkeeper. There aren’t a lot of food options in Nauvoo but that huge breakfast held us until dinner! Also- we appreciated the complimentary sodas and waters. We will definitely book here again on our next stay.
