“It is very convenient to eat and shopping around, but the room is very old, the bed and furniture are old, and the room smells bad, and the Wi-Fi is not good.”

“It was clean and bed was comfortable. The most amazing part is the small lake right outside the room. We saw swans with babies, Canada geese with babies, an otter, a couple turtles, a couple of cranes, that was amazing! You can tell the hotel is older and the owners are maybe newer and trying to make it. The hotel could use updating but it was clean and comfortable. Person who checked us in, maybe owner, was very nice and efficient. Would stay here again. Close to Indiana Dunes National……

“I grew up about a mile away from the property and the trip was booked last minute to attend my grandmother’s funeral. Given the somber nature of the trip, all the features of the property (the swing set, the game room, the spaciousness of kitchen/family room/ and bedrooms) really gave us an escape. It gave the kids a fun place to play. It gave the adults a place to decompress. It was truly an excellent property.”

“The Blue Bird House was perfect for our brief stopover near Indiana Dunes to visit with friends. Communication was excellent! Check in and check out was easy-peasy! Kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. Fenced yard was great for giving our dog a little room to stretch. Bunkbeds were perfect for our teens. I wish we could have stayed longer, but I would definitely stay here again when we're back in the area.”
