“We were in Hummingbird, a lovely room. View of the water over the train station. Easy walk to many restaurants and the kilometers-long Pictou seaside walk. House has been beautifully and lovingly restored. Hummingbird is at the top of the stairs, but was still very quiet. Couldnt hear other guests at all. Hosts very nice and helpful. Breakfast egg bennys anf fresh fruit salad great”

“Any staff we met were friendly and helpful if we needed anything. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We didn’t need it, but the room had a cute little kitchen set up. Hot plate, no oven, but if you're doing a little longer stay, would be a convenient way to save money. No table & chairs to eat at. ”

“Stephan was wonderful about making sure I was able to find the place, showing me my space and encouraging me to make myself at home. Best sleep ever. Everything I needed was there and a good hearty breakfast with excellent coffee! The owners are fascinating people and went out of their way to make sure I knew about the Saturday markets and other things in the area to take full advantage of my visit. ”
