What we liked: The hotel staff was amazing. It was walkable to almost everything you'd want from the French Quarter. It was quiet until about 8 a.m. (this was on a Saturday). This is where what we didn't like started: People were working on something in our hallway and were SO loud! We kept trying to go back to sleep but couldn't. Either the doors need to be thicker, or there needs to be "Quiet in the Hall, Please" signs. People just walking down the hall chatting sounded like they were in our room. We also didn't care for the smell out in the hall (the room smelled fine), but we were on the second floor, and the room smelled like dank, old mold. I'm sure it had to do with Hurricane Katrina and Ida, but considering the room and the rest of the hotel smelled fine, I felt like the hallway could've been remediated as well. Anyway, overall, it was a great choice with regard to price and location, but if you stay there, bring earplugs!
