We spent four nights at the St. Charles Hilton and enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly and the hotel restaurant, Luke, was good for breakfast. We didn't have any noise problems at night. It's centrally located and an easy walk to the trolley line, French Quarter, and WW II Museum.
Two things to note: there is loud construction underway in front of the hotel that we were told may last up to another two weeks. Our room was on one of the highest floors, so the noise didn't bother us there, but it was definitely loud the few times we were in the lobby area. We needed to walk across the street for Uber pickups. Not a huge problem, but something for visitors to be aware of. Also, I booked a junior suite, but the room wasn't as pictured on the booking. I thought we were getting a room with a small separate seating area, which is always nice if you're staying for more than a couple of nights. The room didn't have a seating area; it was a regular hotel room but about the twice the normal size. It had one armchair and a desk chair. Again, not a huge problem, but something to be aware of if the seating area is appealing to you. Overall a good stay, and we would book there again.
