The hotel facilities were seriously damaged. My room lock doesn't work. After the receptionist on the 12th morning opened the door of the room, she told me not to close the door again. I asked her how i can go out, and she had a bad attitude and was rude, and refused to open the door for me again. I had no choice but to call the police for help because I couldn't get into my room.The room smells so badly of paint, it's like a gas chamber,and a loud mechanical noise in the room.

We were welcomed by 2 super friendly ladies at the front desk. It was very quick and easy to check in and check out. No wait at all!!! The rooms are super small but that’s not a problem because we were not in the room much. One warning is, they are in the middle of ordering blinds for the window in the bathroom. It is on back order. So NO cover at all. Let’s hope when you come out of the shower naked, nobody on the other window is looking down or into your window and sees your naked body before you get dressed.

They charged us 2 times for our stay. Its a holiday weekend so we cant do anything about it till Tuesday. Luckily i can borrow from my checks or we wouldn't have had gas money to get back to Ohio, a 12.5 hour drive away from New Orleans.

Not maintained properly. The ceiling of my room has evidenced of water leakage and same on the floor. The flooring is uneven and peeling off from a water damage. There’s only one small window and when I open the curtains the only thing I see is a wall from the next building. The carpet also has stain and I noticed that they don’t vacuum daily. There was a small paper towel that I intentionally didn’t pick it up and when I returned that night to my hotel, it’s still there.

Just want to say that I will not recommend or stay at this hotel again and the reasons are as follows, the first room as you walk up to the door to unlock it. It is very noticeable that some one tried to pry the door open with some kind of tool. The door frame was also compromised. We did not feel safe in the room. We complained to the desk to assign us another room which they did after arguing for while. 2nd room the same problem with the door, evidence of the door being pry open with a tool, again we felt unsafe. 3rd room the door to the room was missing the door striking plate to secure the deadbolt plus it smelled bad plus other things the safe to place your valuables did not work, missing handles, and sink stopper missing as well. Overall we had unpleasant time at the hotel worrying about our safety. No hair dryer available in the room. Photos available upon request.

Generally it was a nice hotel. Its in a walkable part of town. Check in was a bit hectic with everyone checking in at the same time. Its cheaper to valet your car than to park in the lot which the hotel has a back door entrance. The valets garage was a couple blocks from the hotel so if you forget something in your car, your car has to be brought back to you in order for you to retrieve the item. Also, if you book a room with 2 queen beds make sure to double check your reservation to make sure that one of the beds is not a bunk bed.

Entire hotel room-safes do not work. Front desk is aware but no projected schedule for fixing. Beyond that the room safes are tiny and might fit a wallet plus a small e-reader. A full sized table wouldn't fit. Room 403: 1 of 2 queen sized memory foam mattresses was unusably destroyed (as if a thousand pound weight had been placed on the mattress permanently deforming the mattress. Room 405: leaky pipe in the bathroom (shower or sink???) allowing soapy water to get under the vinyl flooring in the main room. Drywall/plaster under the sink was visibly moldy and rotting which renders this particular room unfit for use advertised. The room needs to be closed for several days for the affected wall to be removed, the leak to be identified and corrected and for new wall to be constructed...this is not a "spray some bleach on it" issue. Pleasant staff. Nice bare bones gym. For the same approximate price past experiences at Holiday Inn Expresses on Loyola and O'Keefe were superior.

Room was a nice size, on the ground floor with a big king bed. Had everything that was needed. Tv was a nice size although the remove was not the standard one and was a universal replacement and didn’t work as well. Would recommend a mat / towel for the floor when having a shower. Breakfast was nice, although pancake maker was out of use for a few days. A nice selection hot and cold. Overall was a very pleasant stay.

Close to the downtown. Staff are nice. There were no maintenance on site so when we went to the 1st room, the lights weren’t working and were were given a new room. The new rooms lights worked but with room at street lamp level and no curtains in two of the three windows, which we didn’t realize until we got back late and the room was quite bright. Staff said window shades on back order. Ask for and was provided a thick blanket to cover window and slept better that night.
