Had a wonderful time at the Royal Hotel. We had some problems with the hot water....would run cold after a few minutes. Overall it was great.

The room we had did not measure up to the room we expected. The bathroom was tiny and did not have a rain fall shower. The bedside reading lamp was totally inadequate for reading and the overhead fan did not work. We had to wade through a big 1 inch deep puddle to reach our room. Guests in the courtyard were very noisy until well past 10 pm on the first night.

The staff was fantastic and the room was everything and more than I hoped for in a trip to New Orleans. Our balcony was next to a residential balcony that regularly played music and ran a bubble machine which was fantastic. Sitting on the balcony watching everyone enjoy the bubbles was a great experience. We are already planning a return trip 😊

I would say my rating be 8 out of 10. No existence of elevator is -1. I would like one more chair to be equipped in that spacious room, which would be another-1. The hotel is charming with great staff & a great location. The problem is the paper thin walls that provide no insulation of noise. We could hear EVERYTHING other guests were doing at all hours. Ear plugs might help, but overall we did not have restful sleep here which was unfortunate because it’s a nice place.

Hotel Royal was the absolute perfect location for a home base in the French Quarter! Incredibly convenient to all local attractions, without being in the thick of the chaos! The bed was very comfortable the room was perfect (smaller but we barely spent much time hanging out in it), and the bathroom was clean and spacious! The team at Hotel Royal was so wonderful, always greeting us upon our arrival and departure, and they always had a bottle of water waiting at the front desk for us whenever we asked! We will CERTAINLY be returning to Hotel Royal on our next trip to NOLA! Thanks again!
