“My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The big windows and doors offered a stunning view of the woods. The covered deck kept us cool in the sunny afternoons and also provided shelter as we watched a rainy evening blow in. An easy 15-20 minutes to stock up on groceries and grilling supplies. Our dogs had a great time visiting nearby Ash Cave. We hope to return again to enjoy other seasons here!”

“Great little getaway for two moms needing a break from reality. Super clean, cutely decorated property close to hiking trails. The fire pit and hot tub were the perfect addition! Would have been PERFECT if we had WiFi since I didn’t have cell phone reception (Verizon). But I was able to communicate with my family through my friend’s phone (AT&T). Highly recommend and.would definitely stay again! ”

“We got married last week and are closing on a house so we just wanted a low key weekend honeymoon till we have time to go away. This was perfect. Clean, well stocked, quiet, and private. The ONLY thing I would change is leave the firewood under the porch roof, we can carry it to the firepit, but it was already soaked by the time we got there and couldn’t have a fire, because even the local wood for sale was soaked ”

“This is our 2nd time staying at Bear Cabin. We love the land that it is situated on. We also love the no wifi and cell phone access. My only recommendation is to look up trails ahead of time and have a plan. We would drive to the local gas station down the road to load our gps. ”

“This was our first time in Hocking Hills, and this property was the absolute perfect place to stay for it. Wonderful location where you have your own small slice of nature, but close enough to town to not be a hassle. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need, the hot tub was amazing, and it was very cozy. Definitely plan to be back!”

We have stayed a lot of places and have yet to come across hosts that are so responsive and thoughtful. We were surprised by the treats, smores, chips, coffee. “Upon arrival we were so blown away by the beauty of the cabin we decided to inquire and book an extra night as 2 nights just would not be enough time. We spent our first night soaking in each other and soaking in the hot tub. Day 2 we visited the sauna pods and booked a professional photography session which lead to a proposal! Then we enjoyed a unique romantic dinner at Glenlaurel (it’s a must try). Our last day was filled with hiking, visiting the Hocking hills winery, deer watching, sitting……
