Good value for a comfortable stay

The hotel is good and reasonably well maintained. Close enough to Subway stations going into Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. Neighbourhoods can be a bit rough but I feel safe.

Hotel not so far from Manhattan, close to public transportation but not very welcoming area. Hotel room was convenient, however bathtub was stained, carpet dusty, and the heating system noisy. A kettle and coffee machine in the room would have been perfect!

So, I’ll admit, it could have been worse. We had heard another guest arguing for their money back since they had gotten to their room not ten minutes before to arrive to a room with urine all over the bathroom, bedding filthy, etc. While our room was clean, we can definitely reiterate that it’s for sleeping only. If you’re expecting a nice stay, this is not necessarily the place for you. The towel bar was falling out of the hole, there was missing furniture, the bedding was definitely a little suspicious… and the other furniture that was there was scuffed so bad. Additionally, we have stayed many places and have never experienced a stay where they require you to pay for early check-in, and as much as they required. Not to mention, we paid for early check-in and got probably the worst room in the entire place. We were right next to the desk and the storage room, so that meant we heard people talking (very loudly) until around three in the morning a couple nights, and the storage room door slamming the entire night every night. For the price, it isn’t horrible, but definitely not a nice place.

Excellent hotel to stay near Manhattan. Economic, clean and comfortable. Really close to the Subway station, you just walk for 5 min. The only thing is the neighborhood at night, a little not safe, that’s was my impression, nothing bad happened to us, but weird people after 10pm.

Durante la segunda noche habian dos peliando en las habitaciones del lado, no vino nadie a bregar con la situacion y siguieron haciendo fuertes ruidos durante toda la noche. No esta en una zona segura, una adicta nos ataco caminando hacia el hotel. Los cuartos almenos estaban presentables.

L'hotel é in buona posizione vicino alla fermata della linea F. Volendo con un po' piu di cammino ci sono altre fermate della metro di altre linee. El hotel en general estaba bien. Las alrededores no son para ir solo por la noche, mejor acompañado. Me hubiese gustado un hotel con parada de metro mas cerca, aunque no está muy lejos, pero 10 min andando en diciembre se hacen eternos con el frío que hace

Helpful staff, room was questionable

We arrived early and inquired about early check-in after being told our room was available. The front desk clerk advised that early check in was a $40 additional charge, but after early morning flights we wanted to freshen up and planned on being out all day without returning so we paid it. The room we were given was a CRIME SCENE-literally! I had to sign my life away (or really my $100 deposit) saying I would lose the deposit if there was ANY damage to the room, though the room we were given had no mirror in the bathroom (just a small shard remained in the frame), the sink was cracked, the towel rack was falling off the wall and the towels were on the floor and on top of the toilet, and the toilet seat which should have been an elongated seat (to fit the toilet) was a small round one. And the icing on the cake was the purple fingerprint dust that was all over the bathroom (walls, light switches, door jam, door, sink). I went down to the front desk and asked how long ago the room had been the scene of a crime. The clerk seemed a bit surprised but stated it had been empty for awhile but was available to be rented and then took copies of the photos we showed her. She was helpful, but wasn’t able to move us into a different room until the next day and would send housekeeping up to do what they could about cleaning up the bathroom. They fixed the towel rack but that was all. I also found “brown” splatters across the wall next to the sink and on the headboard of one of the beds.

Hotel Stay

There is no parking available. Truck depot across the street has been noisy all night and I got no rest. The area questionable unsafe. Carpet to room 412 should be replaced.
