Good value for a comfortable stay

The hotel is good and reasonably well maintained. Close enough to Subway stations going into Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. Neighbourhoods can be a bit rough but I feel safe.

Don’t go to this hotel, it might be cheap but not worth it, we stayed 2 nights, the first night we got to the hotel the room smell disgusting and there was a cockroach and a spider in the restroom, the restroom shower has stains on the floor, and the area didn’t feel to safe, On the second day, we didn’t request room service because we thought it was going to smell bad again (we had to get a spray for the room to smell better), food options are limited around the area. On the third day we had the worst experience of our lives, we woke up at 5:30 ish in the morning to our neighbor banging on the hotel window until it finally broke, we were so scared I called the cops that keep going for about 30 minutes, we waited for about an hour and they never came, they finally call me back to tell me they were going to check smh, so the first chance we had we checked out, and noticed glass on the floor and a huge hole in the hotel window (I don’t think the workers noticed this at all), Next time we come to NY we are definitely not staying here, look for better options! We thought we were going to get hurt or something worse.

My stay on 8/9 was terrible. The night I stayed there I wanted to take a late shower after all our activities and there was zero hot water and my significant other and I were forced to take a ice cold shower at 2 in the morning. Making maters worse there was loud music coming from the neighboring rooms and a block party by the building till almost 5 in the morning. I made all these complaints to the evening desk worker & nothing was done. Waking up the next day at 9 in the morning only sleeping less than four hours I still had no hot water !! I was forced to take another I cold shower and the maintenance man did not show up till 10:15 when check out was at 11 !

First room had a roach in it and it was very small, thankfully the guy at the front desk got us another room. Felt like I was in the hood and the hotel has a F rating on the door that I didn’t know about. I looked at the google reviews and I wish I looked before booking. Stay in manhattan if you can going all the way back here killed my vibe every time, it’s just out the way. Do better Expedia let me know next time
