Great service, staff is helpful and friendly. location is also good, only 10mins walk to the Central Park or MoMA. However the facilities of this hotel is quite old, and I don’t really like the carpeted floor (looks dirty). Simple but nice breakfast is provided.

The hotel rooms and facilities were clean, although much of furniture and lamps were old and need replacement. The bed was comfortable. Surprisingly, there’s not an option for live television or cable. Streaming is possible, but slow. No food or snack options available at hotel, but there is a diner-style restaurant next-door that is good for breakfast. The location is fantastic, with easy walks to 5th Ave., Rockefeller Center, Central Park, and the theater district The front desk and bellhop are eager to please.

The hotel elevators were not efficient. Getting to the 16th floor on most occasions was quite the experience, stopping at almost every floor and no one was getting on or off at each stop. Twice, the elevator went to the 17th floor and then by passed the 16th floor completely going down while we were waiting.

Location was great Staff were all helpful and friendly. They tried very hard not to disappoint and I appreciated their efforts. My room was comfortable and clean. I agree with previous reviews in regards to the elevators and consequently using the stairs it was in fact confusing and creepy I was lucky to have had a staff member navigate me on my second attempt down another set of stairs. Also I really do think they could provide bottles of water in the rooms and offer a few other amenities. Bare minimum doesn’t quite cover it. They lack in that area.

Really great location if you want east side. Why I didn't give it 5 stars are really just nit picky things. The first room we had was a junior suite (we were traveling initially with 3, but my son couldn't come). These rooms are all located right by the stairwell, the ice machine, the housekeeping room and the elevators. Noisy, in my opinion. That said - I am a bit of a crazy person about noise. I hate it. But, with the A/C running, it helped. No baths in those rooms, so we asked to be moved to a room with a bathtub. They accommodated (no money back because we had pre-paid, which we obviously understood). We moved down the hall. Nice room, just a bit smaller. Here is where the 4 stars comes into play. The bathtub, while nice, is poorly tiled (my dad is a contractor and we've renovated bathrooms, so this stuff annoys me) - your neck, if trying to lie down, sits at an awkward 90 degree angle, so not very relaxing (oh the irony!). And, late at night, the club/bar next door had music going late into the evenings. So, we moved from one type of noise to another type. Again, the A/C running helped. Little things like the to go coffee lid not fitting the coffee cup just made it a bit cheap feeling. And, thankfully, I didn't pick it up and drink - or else I would've been burned. No bottled water - which I am a fan of - just had to go to work out room a floor down for filtered water. Lastly, no actual TV that airs local channels or direct tv. Only streaming - Netflix or Youtube.

This hotel is OK, and in my opinion not a 4 star hotel. It has small rooms, no live TV, aging lifts and the bathrooms need some TLC. The location is good with local convenience stores and bars, but its a 3 star hotel at best, not 4. The staff were great, polite and responsive. I was out in NY most of the time so it does serve a purpose.

We had a five night stay booked here coming from New Zealand. Our flight to NYC was delayed and we would be arriving a day later. I phoned the hotel and messaged through the Expedia App to inform them of our later arrival to which both were acknowledged. We arrived at 1am to find our accommodation was cancelled, our late arrival wasn’t noted and there was no accommodation available, they had re-booked our room. So we were left stranded. The girl at the front desk was unhelpful and said to take it up with Expedia. I have been in touch with both to get a refund and told I won’t. Terrible service on both parties that I wouldn’t use again.

Die Unterkunft hat uns gut gefallen, sie liegt sehr zentral. Viele Spots in Manhattan sind von dort gut zu Fuß erreichbar, aber auch zentrale Subwaystationen sind in der Nähe. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit einem Balkon, dort konnte man entspannt Frühstücken (in der Nähe gibt es Bagelgeschäfte). Der Ausblick war zudem auch gut. Die Fenster sind nicht gut gedämmt, deswegen hört man von der Straße jedes Geräusch.

Create location and safe neighborhood. Walking distance to 5th Ave., Times Square and Central Parks. The staff were very professional and helpful. This is a over 100 years old building, so the rooms are dated, but overall very clean.
