Review:
I stayed at The Allen Hotel with my friend from February 23rd to 25th.
Upon check-in on the 23rd, I was required to pay a $120 USD cash deposit, with the promise that it would be returned to me at checkout on the 25th.
However, they did not provide me with any receipt or proof of payment.
As a result, I completely forgot to ask for my deposit back before flying back to Canada.
When I realized this, I immediately emailed The Allen Hotel.
It seemed like the general manager was handling the issue, but his response was slow and dismissive—only replying once a day and repeatedly refusing to process the refund via bank transfer.
His excuse? “We are a business, and we don’t do wire transfers.”
Really? A business that makes such a basic mistake and handles it with such indifference?
Thanks to you, my wonderful memories of this trip have been completely ruined.
