We had a lovely room, the staff was pleasant, friendly, and helpful. They provided bathrobes and slippers. Only thing missing was a coffee pot, which would have been nice. It is right in the theater district. Our room was surprising quiet even though we looked out on 51 street. We were however, surprised to see there was another tax, occupation tax added on as we left.

I’ve been waiting to stay here and for this trip for a year now. When I got to the hotel we arrived 20 minutes early and they said that the room was not ready but they would text us when it was we walk around and come back at three when is check in time. A manager helps check us in and says it’s weird that he doesn’t see that the room is ready a couple moments later he says here it is and gives us a room key get to the room and immediately notice that they have downgraded us And thinking that we wouldn’t have noticed. I have spent my hard earned money to stay at a nice place for this room, so I obviously did notice. Call down immediately and asked if we had the right room. The woman on the phone had a slight attitude kept me on hold and that they would call us back meanwhile we have not had our luggage come up yet because we had it waiting since the room was not ready. So everything was just super delayed. Manager calls and says that they can move us to our correct room in the next morning and that the room was not available and he did not realize that when he did it, but yes, obviously he did if he noticed the room was not ready and I did not wanna move halfway. There are Tripp repack and unpack and also paid for three nights the room I paid for I asked for a refund and he said it was not able to do that so they moved us to another room. Wrong room, no AC. At this point, we missed one of our activities dealing with this. 2 hours dealing with this they move us into our room.

Excellent location and the staff (particularly Theodore the doorman and the wait staff in the restaurant) were warm, attentive and professional. Room was very clean and the linens and bed were very comfortable. There were issues, however. The elevators broke twice (in four days) which was unnerving to say the least. I also tried 3 times to call in-room dining one morning but no one answered. On the whole I was left with the impression that good people were trying very hard to keep up but needed more support and some much-needed attention to the facilities themselves.

A truly fantastic central location. Right next to all the Broadway shows. Two blocks from Times Square, and only a few blocks from Central Park. Tons of places to eat nearby, including Hell's Kitchen area as well as T.S. and Broadway. Central to pretty much anyplace in Manhattan. Bed was only alright. Room was large by NYC standards, but a bit dated. Of course if everything in the property was new, the cost would also be higher almost surely. If you want a great location, decent comfort, and a clean room, this could be a good spot. Also a very classic property, with some old school vibes. If you want the latest Euro-modern interiors, this is not your ideal property. But if you dig 1940's NYC vibes, this building has it.

The hotel staff was extremely kind and very friendly it is quite obviously that is a top priority for this hotel . Rooms are very spacious with older charm and also very clean. Definitely an older building but I believe it adds to the old New York charm . I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again .

This is absolutely my favorite hotel in New York. Consistently excellent service, the entire team is amazing, every single person that you encounter from the front desk to housekeeping will be cordial, sweet, and accommodating!! My favorite part about this hotel is that the rooms are huge by New York standards. Don't waste time looking at other hotels, just go ahead and book this one and you can thank me later!!!

It’s an old building nice building. We just came across many issues. Poorly Wo-Fi connection, Construction in AM, was not warned ahead of time, breakfast service was short staff and not notified ahead of time, elevator was not working properly, had to take stairs 5 floors down with out noticeable exit. Had to go in Service area/kitchen for exit. Staff were super nice. Love the location for Shopping, Theatres, Central Park, restaurants, many options.
