Welcome to the Yamhill Flats!

These five uniquely inspired private guest suites rise above the downtown scene of historic Newberg. From your doorstep, you will enjoy being moments away from world-class tasting rooms, restaurants, and other exciting attractions. Our One Bedroom and Studio Suites are located in the community of Newberg Oregon which is commonly referred to as the "Gateway to Oregon Wine Country" where our passion for local wine, food, culture, and adventure come alive! These full, luxurious apartment-style suites have been remodeled with modern amenities travelers desire while still capturing the original grandeur of the historic building, making these suites a great place to call home each night of your visit to the Willamette Valley. Do note the Yamhill Flats are located on the second floor of this historic building, and there is no elevator available.

Flat #1: This one-bedroom Suite at the Yamhill Flats is spacious in size and residential in feeling. Featuring a full modern kitchen, dining area, and separate living room. The living room features an electric fireplace, a large couch, and chairs for ample seating. These sophisticated suites provide space for relaxation and privacy. The adjacent bedroom offers a king bed, ample clothing storage, and a second television with Satellite. The en-suite bathroom features a lovely tiled standing shower, lots of lighting, plush towels, and a hair dryer. 

NOTE: The bedroom is located alongside of 1st Street in Newberg, which is currently the main road for vehicles. Traffic noise can be heard, yet will be lessened as soon as our bi-pass is completed! We do provide ear plugs, and the TV, alarm clock, and A/C unit are great features for creating white noise for light sleepers.

This is one of five Yamhill Flats available above the charming downtown. Our flats feature all of the same amenities you would expect when visiting a luxury hotel, with the bonus of modern, fully equipped kitchens (two without ovens). Every guest will enjoy individually controlled air conditioning and heat, en-suite bathrooms with essential toiletries, Dish Satellite TV, wireless internet, and complimentary concierge services. With this fantastic location and impressive amenities, we are confident you will be delighted to call the Yamhill Flats home while exploring Oregon Wine Country! The suite is pleasantly large. It would make a good place for a longer stay. The stairs up to the second floor would be a challenge for some. 30 day cancellation requirement! A bit harsh. Also there is a crazy long contract!

Relax and rest

Couldn’t be more thrilled with our stay. We had a stressful travel day and arrived late in the evening. But then we walked in and everything was clean and bright and welcoming. There was a bottle of wine for unwinding and coffee for the morning. We would totally come back here. I especially appreciate the special touches like smell good bar soap, ear plugs for us light sleepers and a white noise machine.

Recommended

The property and manager were great! No complaints whatsoever. Would highly recommend. Just one item, and the manager is very transparent about this, there is quite a bit of traffic noise easily heard throughout the property. Owned provide noise machine (that didn’t work) and ear plugs to help but it’s still noisy. Not a deal breaker for us because everything else is excellent about this property and our stay. The location for an Oregon wine vacation is excellent. Many wineries quite close and Newberg offers all you’d need as a “home base.” Great area.

Not quite

This property is very clean and tidy! The white fluffy towels are delightful! There are very steep stairs immediately upon opening the door to the building. I think this should be included in the listing because it could be a significant barrier. There are NO closets or dressers to put your clothes. There is a rod over a cupboard in the bathroom which is very awkward. The bathroom lighting is horrible! It makes it very difficult to put makeup on. The location was good and code entry was easy, but the issues mentioned above make this property not quite what we were hoping for.

Our flight was severely delayed so we ended up not making it to the property for the stay. However, in the days leading up to the event, the property management folks reached out and offered to help us with any needs we had. They were so nice and helpful, I was really bummed we weren't able to make it.

GF Parent Weekend

This property was fantastic. We were in Newberg for parent weekend at GF and the location was perfect. A very short drive to the campus though we easily could have walked there. The interior of this property was impeccable. The size was perfect for the two of us with a small kitchen, dining room, and living room to relax in. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we've slept in. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Wonderful Flat!!

Well stocked, great quality items and very comfortable. There were lots of instructions about where to find things and how they work. Awesome literature on happenings around . Very private and accessible. A little much on the traffic noise but ear plugs were provided and did the trick.

Wine country getaway

We stayed here for a two night getaway with my husband. It was very clean and everything was newer in the place. It was great for one or two nights. Although the king bed is very comfortable the street noise from cars and people walking in the streets was almost unbearable, making a good night sleep difficult. Not sure there is anything the renter could do as they are aware of the problem and have provided earplugs at the bedside tables. Additionally I would suggest that a table lamp for the living room be added. The overhead light does not bring a cozy relaxing atmosphere and I borrowed a light from the bedroom to watch early morning TV. The kitchen had adequate equipment to make breakfast. The dishwasher in such a small unit was nice to have. This place was really nice minus near a highway with lots of noise.

Nice location but very loud

The location is central for the city, but there are restaurants and bars along the busy street below. Traffic noise and people coming out of these venues are quite loud. Kept us awake throughout the late night/morning. Do not recommend if you are looking for a tranquil wine country getaway. All other aspects of this location are great.

Quaint and convenient

We were in wine country for business and pleasure. This unit had all the things needed for a lovely stay. The kitchen has anything you would require for cooking on vacation. The king size bed was very comfortable. The location was ideal. There was a bit of road noise but it didn’t bother us. My only criticism is that this is a walk-up and it is steep. Hauling luggage up and down the stairs was a challenge. The staff was most helpful and prompt in replying to any inquiries.

The condo was tastefully decorated, spacious, very clean.

The 4 of us enjoyed our stay after a fun evening at Domaine Serene. The condo was very comfortable and the AC worked great with the temps in the 90s. Everything was spotless and well appointed. The only negative would be the steep stairs to get up to the unit.
