Orchid Cottage is a 18th C tastefully converted barn, situated on our 20 acre equestrian holding, close to the beautiful Cardigan Bay coastline, with sandy, dog friendly safe, family beaches and the quaint seaside villages of Aberporth Tresaith, Llangrannog, Newquay and Mwnt steeped in local history of boat building, smuggling and folklore. The market town of Cardigan is a short drive and offers an eclectic array of individual shops, ancient Cardigan Castle and the beautiful expanse of sandy beach at the mouth of the estuary at Poppit Sands, where the River Teifi joins the Irish Sea. The cottage is very well equipped to make your stay a home from home experience. An excellent place to unwind from the faster pace of life and spend some quality time with friends and family.
Parking is directly next to the cottage, within the large lawned garden area , dissected by a hardstanding track with a a private patio area table, chairs , firepit and Bbque with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The Double bedroom has quality egyptian cotton linen , an en suite shower room with toilet and wash basin and a full bedroom suite with plenty of storage. The second bedroom is a twin room with space for an extra child's bed if required. The second bathroom, with bathtub with shower over, toilet, basin and heated towel rail , serves this bedroom. You can be assured of an excellent nights sleep with little to no light pollution and what a perfect spot to stargaze. The bedrooms are on the ground floor with the living space on the first floor, to take advantage of the stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The exposed oak beamed kitchen is fully equipped including a 9 litre air fryer (which is a must when cooking meals on holiday), microwave, hob, fan oven, fridge with small box freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle , all crockery, cutlery, utensils, pots, pans and microwave dishes, tea towels, oven glove and hand towel. The oak beamed dining area has seating for 4 with a family sized dining table . The lounge has 2 comfy leather sofas with a 42 inch smart TV + firestick a cosy wood burning stove with a complimentary starter pack of kindling, firelighters and logs. A washing machine and large chest freezer is situated in the onsite utility room. A network of footpath meander their way around the village and beyond and there are some interesting cycle routes, around the wild flower bordered lanes to the neighbouring villages, so why not bring your bike.
