The hotel was very close to the train station and close to pubs and restaurants. Our room was lovely and clean and relatively quiet. The staff were helpful and polite. We had dinner in the bar and it was lovely. Would definitely stay here again

A pal and I went there to get to a gig. We had two rooms but needed an early check in. Brian and the team went out their way to help. They couldn’t have been more courteous, helpful, and just decent people

Staff were very helpfull and polite, room was clean and fit for purpose. Comfy bed great breakfast very tasty. Good walking distance to town centre and railway station. Good transport links and great for visiting arena.
Downside shower over bathvquite powerfull no hose hard to reach nozel high up difficuilt to keep shower curtain in bath and not leak on floor.
Bar meals only no evening dinner service or choice, quite pricey for amount given.. Bar can be busy girl serving cleared plates away but never came back to wipe any tables the whole of the night
On day of checking out even though we had till 11am our door locking system disabled itself and we weren't able to lock our door therefore had to take luggage with us and keep seperate bag with valubled in with us whilst we had breakfast.

The breakfast was awesome, and there is a staff member called Susan that is so lovely. She works so hard hard making sure the breakfast buffet was well stocked and made sure all the guests were happy. She's the best.

Had issues at the hotel as there was no hot water could not have a shower. Very noisy it was really bad. Although the staff were very friendly and helpful. Did manage to get a refund of£60.59.

The Leonardo Hotel in Newcastle is disappointingly shabby, a far cry from the four-star luxury it claims to offer. Dust clings to surfaces like a stubborn guest, while the carpets—grubby and barely vacuumed—look as though they’ve not seen proper care in ages, leaving the whole place feeling worn and neglected. Assigning me a disabled room without asking felt like an oversight, only adding to the lackluster experience. A Premier Inn honestly provides a cleaner, more comfortable stay for less. Leonardo needs to invest in a serious deep clean and better upkeep to even approach the standard they advertise—until then, it’s a letdown worth skipping.
