“This house has a beautiful location. My husband and I stayed for a weekend getaway and enjoyed our stay. One issue that we had was the water pressure. It was hard to shower because the water kept going in and out. As others have stated, the inside of the house could use some TLC. Some of the decorations are falling apart on the wall. The paint on the walls in some rooms look incomplete. Overall it was a good stay. ”

“This house is in perfect spot in Boothbay Harbor. Easy walk to town, right on the water. Everything about the house was perfect and exactly what we needed. ”

“We had a fantastic winter long weekend at the house with our teenage son. This was our second time staying here. The kitchen was perfectly stocked for cooking our meals and the beds were very comfortable. We relaxed in front of the fireplace and stargazed in the hot tub. The nearby towns are full of great restaurants and bookstores. Our stay really was perfect and we can’t wait to return.”

“Stayed for a week. You can’t beat the location! Fabulous spot with a dock and deck right on the Harbor. 5 min walk into town. The property is a great set up if you’ve got a large party. We were 10 and it was perfect. There are a few things that need some work… Only one bathroom had a bathmat and the 2nd floor shower in the main house is difficult to navigate without drenching the floor with its multitude of curtains and no shelf or hanging caddy to put soap and shampoo. “We so enjoyed the house, but the view stole the show! Needs a bit of a glam up in the furniture department but everything was comfortable and clean. The property is lovely and we enjoyed the piano! We will be back for sure.”

“We usually rent right near our relatives closer to Newcastle, but there was a problem with heat in property so we needed a new rental to move into and “Otterly getaway” was willing to rent to us the day before they technically were available which was good for us. The kitchen of the getaway is just perfect for cooking side dishes for our large family Thanksgiving that was just about 20 minutes a way. We slept in the king bed and it was excellent sleeping. “This was the first trip to Maine for most of this group, and it’s safe to say we’re all in love. Being on the water was wonderful, and we enjoyed the amazing views as well as the hikes and adventures on the rocks during low tide. The pictures of the house don’t do the woodwork justice, and the grill made mealtimes easy. My only flag - the upstairs bathroom only had a tub and no shower, and with a number of girls in the group with long hair, it required some scheduling of shower time. We……

“We loved this place. Even better in person than the pictures. Gorgeous setting on Ocean Point in a quiet neighborhood. Very nicely appointed, it meets all your needs and when the thermostat acted up the property manager was quick to respond and provide space heaters until hvac could come the next morning. We highly recommend and will stay here again. ”
