The room was very cold, all the heating had been turned off. The corridors were a cheap remake of Ice Station Zebra and were unlit when we arrived so we had to use a torch. We moved rooms to try to get something warmer but this too was cold when we arrived. Eventually it warmed up a bit but we had a fan heater on the whole night. Also, we couldn’t get the kettle to work but this turned out to be a faulty plug socket. Overall extremely disappointing to put it mildly.

Welcoming and full-service facilities. Dining room, front desk staff, and large parking lot. Very well located and right off of High Street. Not the most charmingly historic hotel, but an easy-to-use, not overly expensive option. Would definitely stay there again.

Clean, tidy and welcoming hotel
Clean hotel. Some of the elements may be on the verge of being outdated but it’s a clean, tidy hotel in a good location. Staff were professional and cheery. We stayed on a very blustery night but room must be soundproofed and we both slept well. Downstairs in the bar and restaurant area again it’s clean and welcoming.

The best Best Western I've ever stayed at in all sense of the word. Very clean, very hospitable, very nice restaurant area and food, and of course lovely people. If you need a place to stay for the night and into the next day id recommend this place. Especially if youre in a pinch and cant get back home immediately.

Good car parking and location
Hotel was well located for the town centre. Has on site parking. The corridors to the rooms are cold with leaking windows. It was raining as we left and there were puddles on all windowsills. Our room and that of our colleague had windows open when we arrived but the rooms still had a damp smell. Bathroom had shower over bath but without any aids to assist in getting in or out. Wrap around plastic curtain. Not a shower screen as shown on hotel photos. When we emptied the wash basin it resulted in dirty water coming up into the bath. Breakfast offering was sparse although a cooked breakfast was available. Standard tea and coffee offered but no barista choices. Staff were lovely but would not revisit.

Huge comfortable room.
Stayed for one night and wanted a hotel that offered more than a standard hotel offers. We had a large (almost huge) comfortable room with plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe, a king sized comfortable bed and a lovely en-suite. Would definitely stay there again.

The place is well located its my first visit to new market and the closeness to the horses training was brilliant and was amazing to see so many The hotel was very expensive £13 for two Ham sandwiches with cheese. Really expensive The staff were great. They are governed by the prices But you really need a Reality check Its a Piece of bread with cheese gratings The crisps were aldi standard I Say Aldi standard as the packet given when askee is the same as the multi oack i have at home and put in my daugters butty box I didnt eat dinner or brraofast as id need a Loan no doubt but when i can get two full breakfasts and unlimted coffee about 200 yards down the road cheaper than two han sadwhiches its an issue Oh and the toilet was blocked all day in the bar area Staff were told but was still blocked until Sunday ( sunday is more expensive for call outs ) if thats what was needed If its just waiting for a Cleaner then thats poor as everyone can clean and unblock a toilet

Nice hotel, bad carpark
On arrival the gentleman was helpful, he was finishing his shift but very engaging, the lady from Europe who took over was rude and unhelpful, just not the right attitude to talk to guests. Never had rudeness from a receptionist before. Rooms were big and spacious, beds comfy, cant fault that. Had a fire alarm but got cancelled as we left the room.Mu biggest bug bearer is the car park is not big enough. Cars everywhere that i ended up parking on the street. There was a function on and the paying guests staying at the hotel gets second treatment for the car park. Red flag for me when staying at a hotel.
