I was so disappointed with what I saw on line as apossed to the actual appearence of the rooms. there was a dingy look to the bedding and dirty spots in the room and hallway floors.

I'm still waiting for the refund I was told I was getting for NOT staying and instead I'm continuing to get these emails asking "how was my stay?" Once again, I DID NOT STAY. Blood and possible dried vomit on the mattress. Staff was no help at all when asking for clean sheets and a clean mattress cover. Showed me another room that had a dirty foot print on top of the bed. RM# 102 and 101.

Our stay was very nice. Eric, the guy at the desk was extremely nice, we were in town for a funeral and needed to change and helped us check in early so we could get dressed. Room was clean, A/C worked great. I would definitely stay here again.

The only ice machine I could find was on the lobby floor and it didn't work. The employee in the lobby filled my ice bucket rom a cooler in the kitchen. The vending machine in the lobby also didn't work. When I asked the employee, he told me it was a third party vendor. No other explanation. The breakfast was subpar. The sausage was undercooked, and the muffins were not appealing.

Everything was pretty dirty. We had to ask them to reclean our room right after we walked in; after they tried to downgrade the room. The cleaning woman was very sweet and nice but the owners just don't seem to care. They did not have enough towels for all the guest as we didnt even have enough for everyone in our room to have 1 towel. We had to have the sheets on the bed changed as soon as we got there due to huge stains. You needed a key card to get through any doors; including the restroom by the front desk which seems very strange to me. I would never stay here again. The only nice thing about this stay was that it was close to what we needed.

When I booked the reservation it was to be paid at the property but 2 days before the stay the money was deducted from my debit card. There was also a $10 service fee charged by the hotel which was never disclosed. The toilet in our room would not flush and the manager tried to fix it but it was slow flushing the entire stay. There was a hair dryer but it did not work. Asked to get another and was told there may not be one as many of them had gone out recently. We were able to get one about 15 minutes later. On our last morning there were no tea bags available at he breakfast area. All of these were minor issues except the charge on the debit card. I ask and were told that the hotel does that on weekends due to having no shows. I thought that was the purpose of providing the card information so if you didn't show 1 night would be charged. This charge was made before the stay even occurred and was for the full amount. That needs to be made clear when booking.

No towels - we had a room for six and they gave us 3 towels. - when we asked for more the response from the management (at 7am) was “you get what you get. We have no more. They used them at 5am” No hot tub (as advertised). The hot tub area in photos is tiled over, very unprofessionally. It is uneven and soaked due to leaks in the ceiling. My daughter tripped over the tile and hit her head. There were no caution signs. The ladder in the pool is full of rust. It was all over my daughter's leg. No cribs / playpens (as advertised. They said they had cribs but they are now banned in Newport news. I understand other hotels in the area bought pack and plays. Do that or take it off the website. We had to go buy one) No change for Laundry. They had undue service but did not have coins. When I asked for some the front desk said “I have no coins.” Basically saying “that’s on you”. We did laundry at all our hotel stops. There were 4 other hotels along the way. This was the only one who did not have coins. The entire floor smelled of weed Service rooms doors were left open. All day. In Halls with exposure to dangerous equipment. In the pool and the hall. And not just while people weee work in in them. We stayed for two night and they didn’t close. Our expectations were not high. But this hotel is not as advertised. Breakfast was good. That was it.

I loved the staff they were friendly snd outgoing slwsys willing to help. The breakfast was good and well stocked but lacked variety. We stayed for 6 days and only thibg that was switched out was sausage gravy ( which was very good) for link sausage. We selected hotel because it had a pool and a fitness area. Both were broken, pool heater and all cardio pieces were inoperable. We traveled with a small child who was very disappointed the she couldn't go swimming. To end on a positive note the shower temperature and water pressure was propably the bedt I have every experienced in a hotel.

The staff was terrific! The gentleman that checked us in was friendly and very informative. However, I would say that everything is very dated. From stained carpet, to holes in the sheets, to the AC/heat unit. However the room was spacious and served its purpose for the night. The last note is that, the security deposit hold is $50! Which seems very steep for a place that has holes in the bedding.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! I have NEVER written a review. But had to because my experience was soooo horrible! As soon as we walked into the room I noticed it was not vaccuumed. And looked like it hadn't been in a very long time. There were stains on the carpet of various sizes and colors. The furniture had large round stains as if someone urinated on them. One of the beds had a stain on the bed skirt. The tub was dirty or stained.....I could not tell. I opened the sofa bed and the mattress had a big dark blood stain - at least 6 inches around. Not a few drops. The television did not have a remote. The desk attendant brought one up, but the cable was not hooked up. So no service. If that wasnt enough, one of the people staying in the room put her hand beneath a bed and found a pair of dirty underwear!!!! The place was gross. I also got stuck in the elevator (which was also not vaccuumed). I was only stuck for 5 minutes, I had to push the first and second floor buttons several times to make it work again. Comfort Inns are independently owned. This owner should be reprimanded. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

The overall stay was ok. The hotel needs cosmetic repairs. The carpets were dirty the bathroom door would not close shut due to the door not being level. There was a huge gap between the main door and the floor, if people wanted to look under the door they could. Each hallway smelled of weed and the beds were extremely hard. The one plus that I did like is that they had mattress covers over the mattresses to prevent bed bugs. Staff was friendly but they need to do better with their continental breakfast. There was no good options of hot food: eggs, biscuits, and a white sausage gravy, and a bland tasteless waffle that you could make. The area of the hotel wasn’t a bad area to stay, very convenient to restaurant and the interstate. This hotel just needs a lot of cosmetic work in there rooms to make it a better stay for guests.
