We arrived at the property after waiting 3 hours to be told someone was in there who shouldn’t have been. Key code was wrong took an hour to get that. No towels no toilet roll absolute disgusting also had a smell to the house. I would……

“We really enjoyed our stay - especially the beautiful sunsets.The beautifully converted shed is cosily furnished and offers everything you need, and shopping facilities are also nearby.The location is nice and quiet in the countryside, yet a good base for trips to the Cotswolds or for walks.The hostess Antonia made us feel very welcome. (Greetings also to Crispy from me ;-) )”

“We really enjoyed our short stay at the Carthouse. It's a lovely property in Axbridge, with Cheddar Gorge within easy reach. Communication with Val was excellent and also waited on the side of the road to show us the entrance to the side road. The Carthouse was spotlessly clean and Val had left several thoughtful items to get us started including bread, milk, wine and cider! Thank you Val, it was much appreciated. We'd have no hesitation in recommending this lovely property.”

“Rob actually offered an upgrade to the property next door as last minute essential maintenance was being undertaken in the listed property. The experience was sublime. A beautiful property tastefully furnished catering for every need. The swimming pool and hot tub were spa standard. We all had the most amazing stay. ”

“This was a last minute booking the house is in an ideal area for what our visit was for the only problem we had was that we had to wait a while for checking in information and once we received this it was incorrect so had to phone for further information ”

“We had a long weekend here with our children. They particularly enjoyed feeding the sheep and chickens on the property.There was an incredible view from the patio and the host communicated well with us. It was a clean property with everything we needed for our stay.”

“We loved our stay - property was clean and in good condition, and walkable to everything we wanted to do. Would stay here again. Pro tip - there’s a coffee shop run out of a church about a block away. Hours are atypical, but great coffee and the nicest people on planet earth!!!”
