“Excellent stay for my daughter’s birthday. Staff were friendly and professional, but also made a fuss of the children and made them feel special, which was just lovely, especially for the birthday girl! Hotel was clean throughout, comfortable bed, bathroom was spotless, breakfast and dinner were both excellent and the kids loved the pool also. Overall a fantastic experience and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again!”

“Truly an exceptional hotel. I grew up in the area and it has continued its history of providing an experience that excels (locals just call it “The Slieve”). The amenities are fantastic with the spa facilities, snooker room, drawing room for a peaceful morning. Breakfast in the main dining area with views of the Mounre Mountains is an experience itself. We hosted a family dinner in JJ Farrell’s food and service exceptional”

“Nice shower, pretty & rustic room with ensuite. Tea & coffee provided, plus toiletries and nice towels. Bed was quite squeaky. There is a smell of damp which is fairly strong.”

“Incredible hospitality! We were staying for a friends wedding at the venue and the team could not do enough for you. We arrived early morning and asked if we could leave our cases whilst we headed into Bangor - within seconds the receptionist and housekeeping manager were scouting out which rooms were readily available - we were given an upgraded room and able to check in immediately. On our first morning of breakfast, my partner asked the waiting staff if it would be possible to get some……

“Another great break at the briers. Ive stayed in the slieve donard, the avoca and the donard. The briers is easily my favourite. Beautiful surroundings, clean rooms, friendly and hospitable staff. Excellent value for money. Will definitely be back again before the end of the summer.”

“Booked three rooms - all were nice but one in particular had floor to ceiling window with views over the lough. Mentioned that my daughter was graduating and a congratulations message was left in her room which was a lovely touch. Used the open top bus to get around on one day and Ubers the rest of the stay as it’s not really a pleasant walk into the city centre. Very convenient for the titanic experience. Have stayed elsewhere other visits to Belfast and would say that the welcome and staff……
