Very few Hotels are the same [in reality] as their Promotion Pictures. This one is. There is construction underway at present but, the noise is during Business Hours.

Bed too hard, but otherwise everything was good...
Great location looking out at the Mekong River. The room was fine except there were some tiny ants looking for food on the lamp table and the bed was too hard to allow me to sleep comfortably on my side. If you sleep on your back, then no problem....

Gut gelegenes Hotel, leider haben wir unser gebuchtes und bezahltes Zimmer nicht erhalten. Bekommen haben wir ein Zimmer unterer Kategorie und mussten Treppen steigen. Balkonaussicht auf Hinterhof mit Parkplatz. Wer in einer Pansion für Hunde übernachten möchte ist hier richtig. 5 Hunde bellen um die Wette, no go. Zimmer war ok, aber nicht unseres. Werde mich bei Expedia beschweren und eine Rückerstattung fordern. Leider werde ich nicht mehr dort buchen. Über die Baustelle wurde ich informiert aber nicht über den Zimmerwechsel. Schade.

Mut Mee Gardens is exactly what I hoped for in a tropical guesthouse. The rooms were well-cared for and accommodating, without ostentation. It's a casual place where you easily can spend the day lounging on your room's veranda or under a common palapa in the gardens. The gardens, and most rooms, face the promenade along the Mekong, so you can walk - or borrow one of their bikes - for miles along the river, and there's little if any motor vehicle noise. The street markets are nearby, either along the promenade or a couple blocks inland. There's a very friendly resident dog and a couple of cats. Mosquitoes are present, of course, but each room has a mosquito net for the bed, as well as aircon. Food is good; coffee could use some attention. It's a lovely garden and inn.

Die Nagetiere im Haus haben das Schlafen in der Nacht unmöglich gemacht. Die morschen Treppen und Deckenkonstruktion haben eine permanente Angst aufkommen lassen, das die verfaulte Konstruktion zusammenbricht. Ab 22 Uhr war die Rezeption geschlossen. Und ich konnte keinen Schlüssel abholen. Die Telefonnummern auf den Visitenkarten sind nicht vergeben.

The photographs are quite accurate and portray the room as it really is. My room did not have a/c or a bathroom but the evenings were cool enough with the fan and the bathroom was shared between two rooms so that was easy. The hotel is charming, the staff helpful, the bikes in reasonable condition, and the location fantastic. Same day laundry service was wonderful.
