I loved seeing the sanctuary for the iguanas , the extra palm trees on the beach were amazing for shade when the palapas were full . The staff was very friendly and helpful . Loved that the resort was easy to navigate and close to so many shops , restaurants , vendors ! I would have liked the option to upgrade to a royal level, I was unaware of its perks but next time will be getting it .

5 star maybe out of a million, the list is so long why this hotel is terrible absolutely the worst hotel in Aruba. The first room we checked into with was dirty and gross. We requested a new room and was able to get another room which was clean but the toilet ran non stop and the A/C barely worked. I spent most of the day in the lobby sitting area because it had A/C. The food and the dinner accommodations were absolutely horrible, the food was barely edible and we ate out in palm beach every day. Pool chairs stained and all falling apart, junk!!!!! Thank goodness this was my second time in Aruba and the Barcelo didn’t ruin my Aruba experience. I will never ever go back to the Barcelo

My son and I had a wonderful week stay at Barcelo. There was plenty to do, we felt very safe, and the staff there were top notch. I would say that the only two things that could be improved would be updating the condition of the hotel and the food could be better. Other than that,it was awesome!!!

Worst property First we had 2 rooms total 5 people one child got Covid so has to cancel we sent proof and would not refund for 1 person. The property is old. After we checked in one rooms safe was not working we told then and they came to fix 3 days after. We said first say both rooms shampoo/shower gel dispenser broken still not fixed. We went on tour one day at told lobby rooms read to be cleaning be come back 5 hrs later nothing was done. Veggie option food nothing We ate at Gianni Italian across for 3 meals that we paid for. Maid came to clean room There was sand on the night stand nothing was cleaned or floor mopped The bathrooms sinks and toilets never get cleaned

I did not like that the dinner reservations were at 9pm and we always had to rush our dinner because the restaurant was closing and nothing was done about it when brought to their attention. Management staff were a little cold but the workers were very nice and accommodating

Property is very outdated. Everything creeked. The shower knob was half working. For all inclusive, dinning is limited. We booked for 7 nights so we get 4 reservations for dinner. Which means we have to eat outside the resort or the buffet option in the resort for the next 3 nights. The beach was full of people who smoke cigarettes and weed. So we couldn’t enjoy that either. Not worth the price. We left 2 days early because we really didn’t enjoy it. Staffs were nice at least.

The hotel and staff were great. Nice, clean, awesome pool and beach. Tons of shopping and things to do within walking distance. Specialty restaurants for dinner were good… BUT the 2 buffet restaurants for breakfast and lunch get a 1/10 and they only get the one because we didn’t get food poisoning. Zero healthy options other than fruit. All veggies soaked in butter. The crap offered there was enough to make most everyone we ran into leave and pay for food when we’d already paid for all inclusive, it was that awful. We would never stay here again because of the food. Everything else was really great. We are not foodies at all but we do like to eat healthy (but if it can’t be healthy it should at least be good/edible). If you’re trying to loose weight go here you’ll be skinny by the end of the week.
