“The location is dreamy on a foggy morning. My room is in the back, away from the road.There are porch chairs right outside of my door on the strip of patio. The air is fresh. The bed is huge. A nutritious healthy family breakfast is served on a traditional dinner table in the kitchen/dining room by the very nice couple who run the inn. ”

“It is a small town motel. Even though it was dated, it was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was accommodating for our late night arrival. ”

“We loved that the owner shared her daughter's paintings and history of the Inn. They are making the Inn beautiful as they only took it over in Feb. Of this year. Great breakfast with great coffee and herbal teas. Great job Luke!! ”

“We stayed here for a weekend with family and several family member’s also stayed. My room was clean and perfect. The inn Keeper could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Breakfast is included and it’s HOMEMADE and it’s delicious. Coffee and tea is always available, a refrigerator is in the dining room for guests. We will definitely be back! ”

“I visit Springfield at least once a year, this is my second stay at the hartness house, I’ve stayed in the mansion and in the hotel, I have been very happy with both options. The mansion is stunning and enjoying a coffee and pastry in the mansion in the morning is lovely. I’m glad to see this historic building being taken care of so thoughtfully. ”
