“This is a rustic, true off-grid stay. The property is absolutely stunning and the new owners clearly care about the camp itself and are working to to update and refresh it a bit. I did have a bit of trouble finding it and due to the lack of pics and directions when I booked, it just took a bit longer. I believe that has been updated. Garrett was great, super friendly and had great communication. Beautiful stay - I needed to get out into nature and I was able to do so. Absolutely would stay again……

“We needed a place to collapse and reset! This was perfect! Secluded and private with a beautiful sandy beach overlooking the lake. Not having to transport our own kayaks was a great plus; kayaks in good shape. The light over the main dining table was not working, as well as a few electric outlets -- we bought a lantern at Walmart in Calais and did just fine. Got a few really cold showers -- finally figured out one of us needed to shower in the am and the other in the pm to get 2 hot……

“Our stay at the rustic cabin on East Grand Lake was wonderful. The 26-acre private island provided a unique and peaceful escape. The lake's incredibly clear water made swimming and floating a true pleasure. Our dogs loved exploring the island, running around, and playing in the lake. The propane stove, refrigerator, and charcoal grill worked perfectly for all our cooking needs, offering the right balance of convenience while maintaining the rustic feel. “Wonderful property, beautiful lake, nice house but it needs some improvements. It need to be cleaner. I know it is a wilderness camp but it needs a through cleaning. All food items should be removed after each guest departs. Food items attract mice and the house is infested with mice. We caught over a dozen while we were there. No one has cleaned behind the washer dryer in the last year. The throw on the couch was filthy. It needs a thorough cleaning. The stairs to the 2nd floor need to be……
