“We chose the Bunkhouse for its remote location that made it perfect to watch the stars. The beauty of the surrounding landscape and the rich history all around were added bonuses. “There were 3 double beds and one large bed so high you needed a provided step to get into it. Lots of extra linens. We were surprised to find tthe closets full of clothes. 2 bathrooms. Kitchen had all you could need. There are 2 steps from dining area to living room.”

“Beautiful home and the last one at the end of the road built in the edge of the mountain. Stunning views from the front yard rocking chairs! Comfortable beds and everything we needed inside. “Title says it all. Zach and Rachel did a phenomenal job renovating this place... very well updated. I have been sensitive to pet allergies in the past (at other VRBO properties). Zero issues for me here. Despite its close proximity to the interstate, traffic noise is a non-issue when inside the house.I plan on staying here again next year. Book with confidence!”

“I was initially skeptical when we arrived. The lawn was overgrown and made the home look a bit forlorn (but a guy came to mow the next day!). However, the house inside is LOVELY. Gorgeously renovated while saving the history of the house. And it was the VERY BEST stocked VRBO of any I've ever stayed in! Our hostess was quick to respond to any questions and we had a WONDERFUL time!”

“We went to Fort Sumner just for one night to attend our cousin’s funeral service. My sister and brother-in-law met us there. We all found the house to be extremely clean and very pleasant. Our only complaint would be that it claimed to sleep 5 people, but there were only 3 bath towels. There were also no kitchen wash rags to clean up dishes and counters. Those would be a big plus. Other than that, no other issues. We will return. Thanks! ”

“Really great property that our group thoroughly enjoyed for a retreat! Accessible distance from Albuquerque and lots of space. Facilities are on the older side and well used but very clean and in good working order. Some notes on the layout:The cabin is about a 10 minute walk from the lodge / bunkhouse. The cabin has 6 bedrooms, one of which has a loft above it with additional bunk beds in a space which would really only be suitable for older kids. The 5 bathrooms in the cabin are a mix of en……
