“This was a friendly, cozy hotel with great staff and a congenial atmosphere. The food at breakfast was great, as was the environment. The rooms were entirely adequate, though you won't call them luxurious. Overall, it was a great stay with a uniquely warm vibe.”

“The accommodation was basic but lovely and spacious. No oven but has bbq on outside seating area. They also stocked the draws with card/board games and books for the kids and beach towels, which was very handy. So close to the beach and lots of space around property and the town for the kids to ride their bikes and go for adventures. Hawley beach/shearwater have lots of lovely little community touches to enjoy and admire. I would definitely suggest visiting this place!”

“Perfect little studio for a solo stay. Lots of birds and nice outdoor spaces to enjoy. Would have also enjoyed a t.v to have a movie night, but found plenty to do without one. Very comfortable with many extra touches. Would definitely stay again. ”

“Arrived late after noon. The owner was most helpful as we needed directions. Room was good with a brilliant view of Burnie Harbour. Breakfast we sat with the owners. We talked and talked until we realised we needed to move on to our next destination.”

“Very old place with a strong smell of old carpet. It smells like living in an old car. Staff are offline after 6pm. They didn’t leave me a message for retrieving my room key after hours. Had me guessing the last four digits of my phone to as the passcode of getting the key from the lock box.”
