“We were in the area for a ski trip which was a last minute addition, so accomodations were scarse. The Motel had rooms at a reasonable price. We had fairly low expectations. Everything was fine. “House was clean and comfortable. E-biking the Blackwater Canyon Trail to Hendricks and back was wonderful, the trail is feet from the house. Nearby Douglas Falls is great. Blackwater Falls State Park is just a few miles away. So many other outdoor activities nearby. We picked this destination because my wife began researching her genealogy a few years ago and found that her mother’s family was deeply embedded in the history of Tucker County.
