Enjoyed our stay but received insurance claim for unused items?
We enjoyed our stay and the property was as described. Not in new condition but certainly a comfortable stay. Very responsive communication also. However, we received notice of an insurance claim for property damage and the items listed were never used nor touched by us. We had purchased the property damage insurance and this feels like a way to get maintenance problems covered through the insurance we purchased. The items claimed were wine glasses (we do not drink alcohol), stove knobs (we never even touched the stove let alone cook), and mini blinds (there were signs in multiple places about broken blinds so we did not manipulate them). We are rental property owners ourselves and treat all stays as if it’s our own home. Very disheartening to see this behavior and will contact the insurance carrier even though it’s only an $80 claim.
