Best Westerns tend to be overpriced for what they are in my opinion but this looked like the best option in Oak Harbor by far. It was extremely quiet and the staff was wonderful.

The check in was very curt. The climate control in each room wont go colder than 68 "so the air conditoner doesnt freeze up". Got woken up to dogs several rooms down barking off and on for half an hour. The breakfast area only has seating for 2-3 so if you have a family of 4 you need to eat standing or borrow chairs. We booked for two nights but decided after one night we had enough.

be aware there is hidden pet fee that not shown. they charged me $50 at check out. the woman name Debby who checked me in didn't inform me about it, she was rushing checking in and rude. the room i booked with one king bed, but she said its not available and gave me two beds room. the room was on 1st floor with dirty popcorn ceiling and very dark, bathroom was outdated.

The staff was really nice. The place was clean. It was convenient for me and had a small but adequate business center. I thought I was only going to stay one night. At the last minute, decided to stay another night, then another. The staff was great about keeping me in the same room and making the check-in for my additional last minute nights easy.

Rooms need update. For a flat screen tv, picture was horrible. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. Housekeep was aggressive ans borderline rude.

The staff were excellent. Very helpful, polite. Breakfast was standard, no-frills, basic choices. No menu. The food was good, the staff kept the counters clean, constantly checking the food in the serving trays. Floor and tables clean. A very enjoyable stay.

i did not like the breakfast... free is not exactly true since the price is included in the over all price of the hotel room. the eggs were made from reconstituted powdered eggs, the yogurt cups were smaller than any other hotel i have stayed at. The muffins were also smaller than usual. while there i also heard other people comment about how they did not like the flavor of the waffles. The staff were polite, helpful and kind, the facility was clean and well maintained. the setting of the hotel was beautifully surrounded by full grown trees. The hotel also shares the parking lot with one of the most reputable Chinese restaurants on the Island

We both really liked this hotel . We went there for our 19th anniversary celibration and thouroly enjoyed our stay. Its so refreshing to stay at a hotel that advertises a hot tub that acctually works and isnt in a state of renovation..We travel up and down the west coast frequently and so many hotels show pool/hot tub in their adds but so often they arent available..very disappointing as we choose a place based on this being available..often paying a higher per night fee. This hotel is older but very well maintained and has a very helpfull and cheerfull staff. So many hotels have been bought by investors that wring every once of use out of their facilities before updating (pictures online must have been taken years before-sort of like on line dating lol) We will be going back there for sure.
