Summary:
Elwood Cottage is a charming, newly-renovated home located in a small community in the West Virginia mountains, merely minutes from Wolf Creek mountain biking trails, and just 10 minutes from New River Gorge National Park!

The highlights:
- Roast marshmallows around the fire pit
- Hang out & grill on the front porch
- Stream on fast WiFi
- Drive 10 mins to New River Gorge Bridge & National Park
- Play cornhole & other yard games (or board games inside)

The Space:
Our one-story (so no concern with stairs), family-friendly home is packed with amenities and fun for couples, families or groups of friends. The cottage is located in a neighborhood in the town of Oak Hill, WV with great restaurants, bars, and shops downtown.

The cottage includes:
- 2 bedrooms: Bedroom 1-Queen Bed, Bedroom 2-Twin over Queen bunk bed (sleeps 3!)
- A pull-out sofa in the living room (don’t worry, it’s comfortable!)
- Fully-stocked kitchen with stove/oven, microwave, and dishwasher
- Smart TV where you can quickly sign-in to your favorite streaming service
- Fast WiFi (50+ Mbps) that's more than enough to stream movies and hold video calls – perfect for working remotely
- AC in all the main rooms to keep you comfortable

Outside the cottage, we also have:
- Outside fire pit with seating for your group
- A front porch with a grill – and space to relax with a cold beer or glass of wine
- An outdoor yard game treasure box full of activities for kids and adults: cornhole, volleyball, soccer balls, horseshoes, and many more!

NOTE: Just a heads-up: we’re in the process of replacing the front door, but don't worry—the deadbolt is fully functional, so you can still lock and secure the house as usual. Thanks for your understanding!

We often take our three little kids and dog to the cottage with us, so we're very family- and dog-friendly. Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).

Beyond the cabin itself, we love how close we are to New River Gorge National Park (only a 10 minute drive away). The park has excellent hiking, views from the bridge, and of course whitewater rafting. These are several outfitters to plan your river excursion or mountain biking trail ride right nearby.

Very convenient for New River Gorge. I would like a TV service where I could access Sports and News. We are too old for Hulu, etc. The front hedge needs to be seriously trimmed. Neighborhood was quiet and easy to access. Kitchen was well equipped. Please include kleenex in your standard amenities.

This home was just right for a long weekend of outdoor activities close by. The house was neat & clean and provided necessities. Nice hot tub! Keep in mind the parking situation is at a premium and a challenge for more than one vehicle. Communication with our home manager was excellent as well.

The house was perfect for our families two day visit to see our eldest daughter. The neighborhood is quiet, the amenities of the house fantastic, plenty of room for our family and two dogs. Highly recommend for any visit to the area.

Fun, cute overnight stay!
Overall, this property is everything that was promised! The house was clean, spacious, and in great shape. My friends and I only stayed one night to be close to New River Gorge Ntl. Park (10 minutes away!), but we had a great time. The host is also highly responsive and attentive. One thing I didn't notice before hand is that the house is in a neighborhood, but the shrubs keep it fairly private, so we didn't disturb anyone!

Great stay at Tony's cabin
We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin, the hot tub and BBQ made for a great weekend away with friends. We brought our young dog really enjoyed playing in the yard. Would recommend any of the Blue Maple cabins.

Can for a fall getaway to Tony's cabin with my young family. Was close to New river gorge entrance, and the house was recently outfitted. Had everything we needed - the fire pit and hot tub made for a fun outdoor weekend. Loved the outdoor games as well, the kids had a good time.
