“We wanted a place to get away for some peace, quiet and relaxation to celebrate our wedding anniversary and that's EXACTLY what we got! We felt right at home at the tranquil Runaway Retreat and didn't want to leave (our dog Stella seemed to feel the same)! We will be back and will stay longer next time. :) I highly recommend this home for anyone wanting to get away in a quiet place to relax and unwind. “We were in town attending a memorial for a local family member. The first floor rental was the perfect spot for our family. We had two other members of the family that were able to rent the second floor. We were able to see both rental units. Clean and what wonderful local art and history!The area was nice and quiet, the home charming. It was exactly what was needed, made us feel at home. We would recommend this rental to anyone wanting to stay in the area. Also check out the MothMan Museum. ”

“The cabin was comfortable and very cute. The only thing that upset me was that the water was unsafe- even when put in the Brita Filter. It smelled strongly of metal and when I rinsed out a cup that had had it in it, it had a red/brown residue. So we had to buy water to wash hands and drink etc. But the area is really beautiful and I understand we're in the woods. It's a very comfy spot.”
