“Exceptional cottage with outstanding views. The cottage itself is a cut above- new, spotless and fully equipped. It’s on a small bay, overlooking a beautiful sandy beach. Great for birdwatching. Easy access to Lunenburg and Bridgewater. We were sad to check out!”

“We loved everything about the Captain’s House!!! The ambiance of the home made landlubbers from southern Ontario feel like we were Maritimers! Spacious, clean, welcoming. We had a campfire outdoors at the fire pit and indoors in the fireplace! The beach access is across the street. 15 minutes to Lunenburg, 4 minutes to Ovens Park (worth the time for the views), 5 minutes to the Rose Bay General Store and Bistro. We recommend the Chai Latte and every cookie. Highly recommended for a quiet……

“Wonderful location! Charming Old House!”

“The place is new, clean and comfortable. The weather was not great for our stay but it was early April and sun and warmth was not expected. We used it mainly as a base for visiting our daughter who lives in the lunenburg area and it was good for that. We did not use the kitchen much but it could use a few more utensils. Also there was not much in the way of cleaning materials to keep the place clean or to clean up any spills. Fortunately that didn’t happen for us.”
