“This studio unit exceeded all our expectations. The drive to Pukeiti is an experience in itself, then the expansive, immaculate, gardens and facilities are magnificent. That there's a cafe on site, and you are able to stay in this beautiful garden overnight, is hard to fathom and an absolute privilege. “Barbwire Bach has everything you need to enjoy its location with the added bonus of having access to their boxing gym. The kids absolutely loved it. Overlooking Opunake Lake and with the beach an enjoyable 3 minute walk away - or longer if the kids want to climb the pohutukawa trees and play on the playground, I have no hesitation in recommending Barbwire Bach and hope to stay again.”

“For the price paid we were very surprised at how dated and tired the property is. As the description honestly says it is an old style bach but the smell of mold when you walk in and the standard of bathroom, walls and kitchen is not what you'd expect. The exterior is also tired and dated. The double bed is small and the mattress is old but the bed linen is nice. The accommodation guide that was left out references a tv and dishwasher but there is none. There was plenty of plates and glasses etc.……
