“We were in town to celebrate my late wife's life by visiting the family graves & enjoying lunch at the Mercantile. The house was perfect for what we wanted to do as we had eight people staying there and another nine sitting in the living area and telling stories. “Our first day….. The first few hours were wonderful, but st 9:00 pm that night Pawhuska would be getting one of the worst storms in years. The first wave of thunder, relentless rain and lightening like i have never seen before, the night sky was continuously flashes of white, the power flickered on and off and then just off. When it passed we went to bed in the dark, I am glad i packed a small flashlight, it was going to come in handy. We were awakened again at midnight. This time it was 10……
