When I arrived at the hotel for check-in, I was greeted by a young man who seemed upset and frustrated. He told me he hadn’t slept because he works two jobs. He gave me a room key, but when I went to open the door, I found someone already asleep inside the room.
I went back to the front desk and told him what happened. He immediately blamed the morning shift employee, calling her incompetent and saying she never does her job right. Then he asked me to please keep quiet because he hadn’t slept in two days.
Eventually, he gave me a key to a different room, but it wasn’t what I booked — instead of two queen beds, it had one king bed. I told him it wasn’t what I wanted, and he got annoyed. After that, he finally found me a room with two beds, but it was on the second floor instead of the one I had originally reserved.
Overall, it was a very uncomfortable and unprofessional experience.
