This no-frills cottage is the perfect setting for your next vacation. Inside, you'll find a simplistic design with all the amenities of home, along with a rustic wood-burning fireplace and beautiful hardwood floors. Outside, the deck has an unobstructed view of the bay, as well as a private path to the water. Enjoy the professionally maintained buoy, available to hold or moor up to a 22-foot boat. Fishing, crabbing and shrimping are accessible from the beautiful beaches, when in season.

What's nearby:
The home is a 7 minute drive from Olga proper, where you can dine at Catkin Cafe or have an adventure at the state park. There are plenty of beaches along the island at Doe Bay or Obstruction Pass Trailhead. There is a free dock and boat launch a mile away from this home.

Serenity and peaceful property

The location of this home was simply perfect. Beautiful water view as well as view of snow covered mountains in the distance. This was our first time to the area and we just fell in love with the whole vibe of the island. The home was well maintained and we couldnt have asked for more. We definitely will be returning. Thanks for the hospitality.

Beautiful, quiet, and tranquil

Super sweet views of the water, islands, & sky. Very nice private beach, and peaceful setting. The kitchen is well equipped. Bed was comfortable, couch and chairs were comfortable. The code to the door didn’t work, and after trying it numerous times, we texted Vacasa and they responded with a different code for the lock box which got us in with a key. The light above the stove, under the microwave was burned out, so cooking was dimly lit. I’m sure they will replace the bulb tho. The coffee grinder didn’t work, so we needed to drive to the island market to grind our beans in the morning. I’m guessing they’ll buy a new one soon, or just bring ground coffee. The pots & pans and dishes were great for cooking, and eating as we liked to stay in, especially the day it rained. We will come back, as this is a sweet place to stay!

Beautiful, but frustrating

The location was lovely, the home very well supplied. The issue for us was the internet only worked for one day, Vacassa and VRBO could not do anything to remedy. We discovered the TMobile plan had reached their data limit each month. Folks, know this as there is no cell service there, thus, wi fi calling was what we depended on...it is too bad such a lovely place, that charges premium rates, is cutting corners on renters ability to communicate. Don't advertise internet service if it is only available at certain times.

Peaceful Location

This cabin faces East with a very nice view. Short walk to the water and rocky beach. Very quiet area on family owned land. We had cows as our neighbors and the local family were very nice people. The cabin interior is nice and had all the basics as a two bedroom house. Laundry room also. There’s a good sized gated deck off the front.

Incredible gem, with private island, beach, quiet, views, tons of space

This place is likely the most underrated property on Orcas Island, we had no idea it would be this amazing. You can literally walk down the grassy field to a beach and then up some stairs to a PRIVATE ISLAND... all natural. Amazing spot for picnics. Beach was super quiet. The owners are very sweet and barely saw them on the driveway once. Much more private space than it seemed in the photos. The boat house / beach is a community thing but we only saw 1 other person there. House is very nice too but the prime reason we will return is the beach and private island. Just, wow.

Serene Getaway

Pros: The location of this property is amazing! Such a beautiful view in a very quiet area; WiFi; house was very clean; near wonderful hiking trails; shampoo/conditioner/soap provided. I'm grateful for the tranquility this house provided. Cons: Cooking oil would have been nice; no wood for a fire was provided (nor info where to buy wood); in the rules folder, there was a mention about parking passes for the parks--those were no where to be found; I couldn't get the TV/cable to work; there were some very dirty mugs in the cupboard--obviously used for hot chocolate at one point, but that could be the fault of the previous renters and not the owners.

Just what we wanted!

Having been a resident of Orcas Island many years ago and a frequent visitor, I found this place to be ideal for a quiet, beautiful, and serene retreat. Loved having the beach view along with the pastural setting, and easy accessibility to hiking trails in Moran State Park. The manager was readily available when we had a couple of questions. Will return again!

Wonderful property

Check in process was rough. We arrived to a dirty house which we had to sleep in the first night as-is, then had to vacate for a few hours while waiting on the crew to clean the next morning, which was due to the management company’s error not the property owner. The location and views more than made up for the rocky start. The accommodations were comfortable and we had everything we needed. We will be back!

Super happy with our stay and the beautiful location

Our mini-vacation at this cottage was super relaxing! The deck, large lawn, headland, and beach, with water and mountain views, meant that when we weren't out exploring the island, we were still experiencing the beauty of the San Juans. We spent one day just reading and playing on the beach. No one else was there. The kitchen and sitting room face the view as well. The two bedrooms were comfortable, and there were two cots available. Nice appliances, and the bathroom was spacious. My son was able to zoom for school with the house's wifi. The property managers were friendly and proactive in making sure we knew we could contact them with any questions or issues. We were really happy with this choice for our family of four.

Beautiful Location, Great Family Trip

We extended our trip to 10 days and we enjoyed it so much, we could have stayed longer. The scenery is beautiful, it didn’t matter that it rained and even snowed for most of our trip. Going into town takes about 30 minutes each way, but it’s such a beautiful drive that we looked forward to it. So much to do on Orcas Island. We mostly hiked but if you come in summer you’ll have many more options. Oh, and yes, Santa did deliver presents for the kids!

Peaceful gift of an experience

Immediately you are taking by the views. Plentiful green grass lawns with views of water and mountains. House is both casual and well appointed to meet all your needs of a comfortable stay. From the cows next door that would come out to graze to the deers that roam in front in front of the property at sunset. The beach and little island felt like a private getaway. We were lucky enough to meet the neighbor whose family owns all the land and fiable us a history of the property going back 100’s of years. She could not have been lovelier. As we drive away our 5 yr old son was already asking when can we come back. We will definitely be returning soon
