The home is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with so many extras—snacks, sodas, toiletries, spices, and high-quality towels and linens.We were especially impressed that the hosts took a suggestion we made during our first visit and added mirrors to two of the bedrooms. “We stayed with them for a day (not overnight) while we were having our wedding at the local courthouse. They were very accomodating with the small group of guests and their children during our stay. It is a shared space. The guest area is downstairs with a small bathroom (no shower or tub). We shared the upstairs kitchen area. “My sisters and I wanted a place to meet that was half way between them and us. We found Paul’s Place! It was perfect! There were six of us, three couples. We brought games, but there are games there. The fish pond was fabulous and just so cool to be by. Walking on the paths was wonderful, we were treated by birds singing! “This place was amazing! Amazing views, serene property, so quiet. There is a train that is nearby, but they don't blow the horn close and the sounds are beautiful and haunting. Everything in the cabin is very clearly labelled and accessible with so much accommodation in mind, much more than the dozens of short term rentals I've been to over the years. Beds were comfortable, plenty of towels and sheets. I cannot overstate just how spacious the place was. There were only two of us staying there……

“We had the week at Grand Timber . House is beautiful lots of amenities. The beds are very comfortable lots of pillows and warm blankets. The pool was is very nice did have an issue the very first Afternoon the gate didn’t close all the way and a baby ended up in pool. So we ended up locking gate after anyone went thru . The stove has one burner that flames out of control. The fireplace in master bedroom wouldn’t start . The hot tub was very low on water and had a cigar floating in it . We did……

“We wanted a spring getaway with our kids and grandkids and this was the perfect place. A table and breakfast bar that allowed all 15 of us to eat together. To be able to enjoy the waterfront while keeping an eye on a child at nap is such an advantage. Several kayak trips alone and with a grandchild in my lap!
