“Easy access when on the road. The floor was not to be used without shoes (the feet turned black). Have stayed at a 6-venue before so I was kind of prepered. The room also smelled of previous smoking, inspite of being a non-smoking room. We came late and decided not to try to change room - needed sleep. the Darling staff made the stay worth while inspite above challenges, they were very welcoming and friendly”

“This is a hidden gem downtown in Opelika Alabama ans a short drive to Auburn. The host and hostess, owners of the property go out of their way to make your stay the most comfortable and enjoyable experience. The property is well maintained, clean, quiet and inviting. From the courteous hosts to the food and room, this is all things other bed and breakfast properties should strive to model. We loved the B and B so much that we added and extra day. “When I walked into the room it had a very bad smell in it. Roaches were everywhere. I had to go buy roach spray and a conform set for the bed. The water was brown. It was by far the worst place I've ever stayed in and I'll never even stay there again. ”

“The hotel bathtub was nasty the towels were dingy when I asked the cleaning staff for fresh towels they had an attitude. We didn’t even spend the night we checked out the same day asked the clerk to refund at least half the rate and the hotel refused we didn’t even sit on the bed.”

“We didn’t get the room we reserved. Had gotten a non smoking room and it smelled like cigarette smoke. The room was disgusting, so dirty that we had to buy our own cleaning supplies, bed sheets and towels. The room key didn’t work so every day we had to get it rekeyed. ”

“My first impression of the property was not good and it did not get any better. People were outside in the parking lot smoking and drinking. When we walked into our room the smell was terrible. It was not clean and there were bugs all over the bed, the wall, and the bathroom. We left within 5 minutes of arriving. We reached out to Expedia and the hotel about a refund but did not receive any help. Do not book here. ”
