“Very charming hotel with a historic feel to it and an excellent location in Cerro Alegre right by the Victoria funicular on a pedestrian only strip (car drop off 2 minutes walk on Montt and Dimalow). The area can get noisy on Saturday night but is safe and the views from the hotel are breathtaking and worth the trip. The room was spacious, beautiful and clean, the bed very comfortable. The bathroom equipment and towels showed their age but everything was clean and functional (wait a minute or so……

“Fauna Hotel is located at mid-hill level of Valparaiso and visit to historic buildings can be done in foot. The hotel also lies in restricted area where large vans are forbidden to enter. Passengers and luggages have to be dropped off the main road and there is a distance of 10 min walk to move between the hotel and drop off location. However, taxi and small vans can reach the hotel at closer range. But still there is a distance of about 30 metres to walk through. However, the hotel staff and……

“Very nice although brief stay. We were able to check in early and were allowed to stay a little later too. Front desk was very nice and helpful. Room was spacious and clean with great views of ocean and hilly town. We used UBER a lot and that worked out great. Area around hotel loaded with restaurants and shops that were well within walking distance.”
