Nice location close to the water. Room was clean and spacious, a little bright at night. Nice pub and fish and chip shop down the road. Really nice people at hotel and in town.

Booked through Expedia and it was very expensive for what it was. The room was very old, wall paper coming off in places, old furniture, bed rolled to the middle, noisy from adjacent unit, bathroom and kitchen very dated. Worth about $90/night not $208au that Expedia charged.

Excellent service, and couldn’t be more helpful. Use of the laundry was very welcome. Room was excellent for space, but a little dated. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable and the room was hot (even though it had a dehumidifier and fan).

From the time our booking was confirmed, our communication by email, phone or in-person with Tagi, the manager, was courteous prompt and helpful. We were allocated the disability unit which was appropriate and well suited to our needs. As indicated in my ratings, all staff and facilities deserved the highest scores.

We loved our stay at Opononi Lighthouse, in fact we decided to stay several more nights. Very friendly and helpful owner, a great unit and beautiful gardens. Right opposite the beach and very handy to the local 4 Square and other shops. We would certainly go back there again. :)

This property is delightful! It is easy to find, right across the road from the beach. There are several dining/drinking options, and a well supplied kitchen in the units in case you prefer to eat at home. The hosts are friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, keeping a clean, comfortable, and efficient proprty, as well as a beautiful garden. Take time to smell the roses in Opononi.

Gute Lage, nicht weit zu Restaurants. Apartment ist gut ausgestattet, aber schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Anlage hat Whirlpool, der zu unserer späten Ankunftszeit (nach 19 Uhr) „ausgebucht“ war - habe niemanden drin gesehen. Kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten. Empfang war freundlich, das Servicepersonal sehr freundlich. Die mit Abstand teuerste Unterkunft auf unserer Reise durch Neuseeland, selbst das Doubletree by Hilton in Queenstown war günstiger!

Lovely location by the Water front, beautiful gardens, supermarket 5 minures walk where we could buy stuff to cook on the communal BBQ. One of our favourite stops whilst travelling the North Island of New Zealand.

Expedia has given this property a 2.5 star rating. It's a 3 star. The room and building are in new condition, the garden area is beautiful. And the host (I forget her name) is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Loved our stay here.
