“Our family of 4 stayed at Little Moose Lodge for one night and wished we had more time to explore! The bike trail, river access, historic sites and the charming town of St. Johnsonville were all very appealing. We enjoyed walking to a delicious breakfast at the Bridge Street Diner. And the tiny house itself was perfect for us. The loft steps are very steep, as mentioned, but the kids thought that just added to the adventure! “We loved our stay at the cabin. The owner was super helpful and promptly responded to any questions or requests. The location is great, a very natural and peaceful setting and as a bonus there is a bar/ restaurant just a short walk away. ”

“Our visit was in mid May and the area was lush and green. Including an assortment of waterfowl in the little pond in front of the cabin. Also used to train our young Labrador Retriever (the reason we were in the area). Turns out within a half hour drive there are several national caliber training grounds for the various retriever hunt disciplines. John our host couldn't have been more accommodating. We were coming out or winter/early spring season into when the cabin is most occupied so there……

“The ultimate place for relaxation! Host was so kind and helpful with any questions we had. Enjoyed kayaking, relaxing by the campfire and fishing. Watching the sunrise is beautiful, coming up over the water. We brought all our food, so we enjoyed our family meal time right there. Highly recommend!!”

“My mother-in-law has a bucket list of staying insome unique places so we booked this for her birthday. The caboose is very cool! The caboose is very clean. The kitchen had plenty of cooking supplies if needed and a nice size refrigerator. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels. We would highly recommend staying here, especially if you know someone that loves trains or likes staying in one of a kind places.”

“Rustic cabin. Small beach is 1/4 walk. Nice outdoor area at cabin. Limited outlets, none in bathroom. Heating consists of a few space heaters. One AC upstairs in flex room and some fans. Nice furniture and appliances. Glad we could bring our dog.”
