On the day we were suppose to ccheckin, there was a parade in town that shut down access to the Hotel. There was no parking to be found within a mile radius. Not optimal when you have bags. This would have been helpful to know beforehand. I called the hotel in advance to ask if we could check in early, as their usual check-in time was the same time as the wedding ceremony we were attending. The staff member said they would do their best. When I asked about parking, they said there is a lot across from the hotel. There wasn't. We asked a police officer where we could park, and he made an exception for us about 6 blocks from the hotel. It was kind of comical we had to walk against the flow of a parade to get to our hotel. The hotel is old and charming. The staff was nice. We chose this hotel because it was within walking distance to the venue where the wedding was held. The included breakfast was basic and not particularly great. We ended up moving our car to a parking lot that the hotel suggested, the next morning our car had been towed. Which made the already expensive night at the hotel, even more expensive. Our tow truck driver was pissed off because he went to the hotel to ask if any of the cars he had tagged belonged to hotel guests. The hotel did not take our license plate numbers and roughtly six guests had their cars towed. (I know, sounds like a great grift between towing and hotel) So, the hotel was nothing special, but convenient. No parking. Pass.
